Emi Bertoli

Emi Bertoli is Project Lead on Power Grid Modernisation and Electrification at Agora Energiewende. She works on areas such as distribution grids readiness and technical capacity building among civil society organisations on power grid modernisation across South, South-East and East Asia.

Before joining Agora Energiewende, Emi worked at the International Energy Agency on areas such as digitalisation for flexible and resilient electricity systems, demand side resources and energy efficiency, especially in the context of emerging economies. She previously worked as a business developer at Enel, where she supported the testing and commercialization of smart grid and smart metering technologies across South and Southeast Asia. She also explored M&A opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, focusing on electricity distribution and energy access.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from University of Trieste (Italy).
