Finnish Environment Institute (Syke)
With research and knowledge towards a sustainable society the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) creates solutions for the sustainability transformation. The institute works to stop biodiversity loss and climate change and promotes a sustainable circular economy and built environment, as well as the good condition of seas and inland waters. They creatively seek and enthusiastically test new, research-based solutions. The Finnish Environment Institute is a governmental research institute employing around 700 experts and researchers in Helsinki, Joensuu Jyväskylä, and Oulu.
