Project Lead Financing the Energy Transition
Max Ostermayer is Project Lead Financing the Energy Transition in the Germany team at Agora Energiewende.
Before joining Agora Energiewende, he worked as a policy officer for climate, energy, and environmental policy at Friedrich Ebert Foundation. His work focused on developing and communicating strategies and policy approaches for a socially just and economically successful decarbonisation, the transition to a circular economy, and climate adaptation. His main emphasis was on interdisciplinary issues at the intersection of economic, fiscal, employment, and social policy.
Max Ostermayer studied Business Administration & Economics (B.Sc.) at the University of Passau and California State University, Fresno. He completed his master’s degree in philosophy & economics (M.A.) at the University of Bayreuth.
