Julia Bläsius
Director Germany
Julia Bläsius is Director Germany at Agora Energiewende, taking up the role in July 2025. She leads Agora's work in Germany on overarching energy and climate policy issues as well as in the areas of electricity, heat and energy infrastructure.
Before joining Agora, Julia held different positions at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), including the Head of Regional Office South Caucasus and Ukraine. In Ukraine she also led a regional project of the German development agency GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). Most recently, she was head of the Consultancy Department at FES in Berlin, focusing on energy transition and social climate protection issues from different perspectives.
Julia holds degrees in International Business and Cultural Studies as well as European Political Economy from Passau University and London School of Economics.
