Janne Görlach works as Press and Communications Manager at Agora Energiewende and is part of the communications team of Agora Think Tanks (Agora Energiewende, Agora Industry and Agora Agriculture).
She began her career at Agora in 2018 as a communications trainee. During her traineeship, among other things, Janne interned in the editorial offices of the German public-broadcasting radio station Deutschlandfunk, the Berliner daily newspaper Tagesspiegel and the corporate communications department of the federal company for radioactive waste disposal (Bundesgesellschaft für Endlagerung, BGE). At Agora, she is primarily responsible for project outreach targeting the German level and for German press relations. Before joining Agora, she completed her Masters in Journalism and Communication Science at the University of Hamburg. In her master thesis she specialized in the field of climate communication at the interface between science and journalism. Her work was published as a scientific publication in the journal Publizistik in October 2020.
She completed her Bachelor's degree at the Technical University of Dresden, where she studied communication sciences and media informatics. She also spent a semester at the Universitat de Barcelona.
