Floris van Dedem

Floris is Project Manager on Power Grid Modernisation and Electrification at Agora Energiewende. Within the team, he works on topics related to electricity grids modernisation and electrification across the globe. Floris has been with Agora Energiewende since 2026.

Prior to joining Agora, Floris worked for the International Energy Agency (IEA) on a range of reports on topics such as electricity markets, renewable integration, and electricity grids. At the IEA, he was also in the Administrator of the Regulatory Energy Transition Accelerator (RETA), working with energy regulators across the globe to advance decarbonisation goals. Previously, he worked for Climate & Company, where his focus was on financing the coal phase out in South Africa, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Floris studied Liberal Arts and Sciences at Leiden University College, with a focus on political-economy, and holds a Master’s in Politics & Technology from the Technical University in Munich.
