Iyabo Olanrele

Iyabo holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is a Research Fellow at the Economics and Business Policy Department of the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research. Iyabo is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She has consulted for the Federal Government of Nigeria and its agencies, Partnership for Economic Policy, amongst others. Iyabo was one of the Technical Working Members that prepared the Macroeconomic Framework for 2021-2025 Medium Term Nigerian Development Plan and the document. She is the coordinator of CPEEL’s Annual Energy Report & Outlook for Nigeria and was a Country-Lead Contributor for the 2020 Renewables 2021 Global Status Report.

She has published in reputable journals, including Energy and Environment, OPEC Energy Review, International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, Journal of Infrastructure Development, Routledge, Springer, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability Issues, Journal of Critical Review, proceedings of Nigerian and International Association of Energy Economist, amongst others. She is a member of the International Association of Energy Economists.
