Fabio Diuana

Cenergia Lab and Gesel

Fabio is a Doctor in Energy Planning at COPPE/UFRJ. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering and completed his Masters degree in Energy Planning, both from COPPE/UFRJ. His MSc dissertation evaluated the impacts of growing wind power penetration in the power system. He has been working with the Cenergia lab’s research team in several projects regarding energy, land-use and climate change specially. In 2018 he spent 6 months at IIASA researching and developing on computational tools and methods about Integrated Assessment Models regarding the water-energy-land nexus. He also collaborates with GESEL lab researching on Pumped Hydro Storage focusing on technical, regulatory and economic elements associated with this technology.
