Fundación Torcuato Di Tella

Global Climate Change Research Centre (CECcG)

Fundación Torcuato Di Tella (FTDT)  was established in 1958. It is a research and advisory not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote regional integration, enhance public policy design and implementation and contribute to improve informed decision-making processes in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Core activities include assessing and supporting the efforts of governments in LAC and at the global scale to address climate change and pursue sustainable development.
The Global Climate Change Research Centre (CECcG), created by FTDT in 2001, is devoted to increase effective outreach and contribute to strengthen countries’ capabilities to understand climate change challenges, expand their mitigation efforts and enable their effective participation in global carbon markets, as well as to catalyze access to international climate finance for mitigation and adaptation actions at the national and regional scale, through its capacity building, technical assistance programs and knowledge management and dissemination activities.
The Centre has worked in enabling development practitioners, project developers and governmental stakeholders to increase their understanding of the current trends to mobilize resources and access climate finance, as well as to benefit from the existing opportunities in climate finance, that provide for addressing climate change challenges while achieving sustainable development goals.
