Energy Community Secretariat
The Energy Community is an international organisation which brings together the European Union and its neighbours to create an integrated pan-European energy market. By signing the Energy Community Treaty, the Contracting Parties committed to implementing key EU energy and environmental law, develop an adequate regulatory framework and liberalise their energy markets. To date, some 25 EU laws have been incorporated into the Energy Community’s legal framework, covering gas, electricity, security of supply, renewables, oil, energy efficiency, environment, competition and statistics.
